Precision Tensioning for Perfect Cable Systems
Swage or Swageless, that’s the question!
Swage Applications
Swage fittings are the backbone of heavy-duty cable tensioning systems. These fittings are permanently compressed onto a cable using specialized swaging tools, creating a secure and robust connection. Swage fittings are your go-to choice for projects where strength and durability are non-negotiable:
- Architectural Railings: Achieve that sleek, modern look while ensuring your railings are rock-solid.
- Bridges and Structures: Trust in the stability and strength swage fittings bring to critical tension members.
- Marine and Rigging: Perfect for the tough conditions at sea, providing reliable connections for sailboats and other marine applications.
- Industrial Uses: Essential for cranes, lifting gear, and heavy machinery, where failure is not an option.
Swageless Applications
- DIY Projects and Home Improvements: Perfect for weekend warriors and small-scale projects. No special tools needed!
- Temporary Installations: Great for event setups or any temporary structures that need quick assembly and disassembly.
- Adjustable Systems: Easily tweak the tension without fuss, ideal for garden trellises, cable railings, and shade structures. Emergency Repairs: When you need a quick fix on the spot, swageless fittings are your best friend.
Invisiware Systems:
Invisiware receivers
Invisiware for stairs
Invisiware Receiver x Radius Ferrule
The Invisiware system provides the most transparent railing system possible.
Examples of Applications: Wood or Metal, round, square or rectangular posts will al accommodate Invisiware Receivers so tensioning can be totally concealed.
Threaded Stud System:
Threaded Stud x Threaded Stud
Threaded Stud x Termination Stud
Easy to setup and install. Simply drill holes in your verticals for the cable to pass through. Nuts and cap nuts pull against the last vertical to tension. This system is very good for retrofitting existing rails to meet current codes. Use with washers, nuts, and cap (acorn) nuts.
Examples of Applications: Threaded studs can be a very clean and cost effective method of installing and tensioning cable assemblies. This system is very good for retrofitting existing rails to meet current codes. These can be used in conjunction with our termination stud system, using a termination stud on one end and a threaded stud on the other can support a run of up to 20 feet. Using a threaded stud on both ends will support a run of 30-40 feet.
Deck Toggle System:
Deck Toggle System
Used for cables that need to be face mounted or where an angled takeoff is required. Attachment is by two screw holes in the deck toggle base. Please note that the cable strength is based on the attachment screws and the attachment material. Components can be mixed and matched with other systems for versatility.
Examples of Applications: Our Deck Toggle System is used for cables that need to be face mounted or where an angled takeoff is required. These toggles can be used with any post configuration and are excellent for angled cable runs as our deck toggle fittings articulate more than 90 degrees.
Stud Tensioning Internal Adjuster System:
Examples of Applications: Additionally, the stud tensioners can be used in conjunction with other stud length combinations and systems to meet your design criteria.
Wood Insert System:
Ideal for 4 x 4 wood end posts, giving a clean look and easy installation.
Toggle Jaw System:
This system features fork style ends for attachment to plates, eyebolts, welded loops, etc.. The toggling feature allows for angled takeoff. Toggles come supplied with screws and lock nuts (or cotter pins and rings). Toggle jaws may also be used with swage & swage turnbuckles shown below or combined with any other system.
Examples of applications: cable rails, hanging signs or shelving, even structural applications such as canopy supports, collar tie cables, or fabric structures.
Termination Stud System:
Simple to setup and install. Simply drill holes in your verticals for the cable to pass through. The termination cap pulls against the last vertical to tension.
Examples of Applications: This system is very good for retrofitting existing rails to meet current codes. You do need approximately 4” on the outside of your end posts to feed the cable in. Where this is not possible use our threaded stud system with cap nuts Termination Studs are a very cost effective and clean method of installing and tensioning cable assemblies because they can be used with any type or style of post. The termination shaft on the turnbuckle is available in different lengths to pass through various post sizes.
